Children's Ministries

Equipping families to grow together on their journey to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.

“Our Children’s Ministry enables children to grow in their spiritual lives by teaching the stories of Jesus and sharing our love of Christ with them.”

We provide a loving, secure, nurturing environment. Offer Spirit-filled, Bible-based programs emphasizing living the Bible in their daily life. Encourage and promote attendance. Help children understand that Jesus loves them unconditionally and that they need Him in their lives. Use the teaching of Jesus to allow them to make wise choices and get the whole family involved!

Goal – To provide a quality program that is age-appropriate and nurtures the whole child through their process of growth and development.

Purpose – To offer an opportunity for children to grow, interact and explore in a loving, nurturing, Christian environment.

Mission Statement – PCC is a ministry of Pasadena Community Church. Our program is committed to instilling Christian values and providing a quality early childhood experience.

Acolytes and Worship Assistants

Children (3rd through 8th grade) have an opportunity to be part of the worship service. They are witnesses for Christ by standing in front of the congregation and lighting the candles. Their acts signify the presence of the Lord in His house. You can either do the 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Acolytes – bring the light of Christ to light the candles on the altar and take that light back out into the world after worship. By carrying the symbols of our faith, the acolytes are an important part of our worship services in the sanctuary.

Worship Assistants – Kids are trained to bring Jesus’ light to each service.

Additional Children’s Activities

These are the activities that we typically plan/hold every year:

First Friday – (4th and 5th graders) Kids are invited to a night of fun and fellowship and encouraged to invite their friends. This two-hour night of fun is the First Friday of each month. One month we stay on campus, one month we are off-campus.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) – a week-long themed camp offered at night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the summer. Kids get to learn about Jesus, have snacks, recreation, an imagination station, and lots of singing.
