REOPENING PCC FOR IN PERSON WORSHIP
COVID-19 continues to impact Pinellas County. We’ve developed protocols intended to provide as safe an environment as possible. We’re counting on you to help keep our community safe! When attending any scheduled event, you agree to consider your own personal circumstances and abide by all applicable church, state, and local safety protocols.
What We’re Doing
Here are the steps we’re taking to try to keep you safe and our facilities clean.
Each service has limited seating capacity to enable safe physical distancing. Limited programming is available for children (varies depending on service).
Before services, please go directly to your seat once entering the Sanctuary. At the end of service, please maintain a safe distance from others, and exit the building to allow us to clean between services.
Face Mask will be OPTIONAL for those who are FULLY VACCINATED. What does it mean to be fully vaccinated? You have received two shots of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one shot of the Johnson and Johnson and are two weeks post your last vaccine shot.
Youth and Children Face Mask
Youth in the 12-to-17 age bracket must continue to wear a mask until they’re fully vaccinated. Since any child in the 3-to-11 age bracket, has not had the opportunity to receive a vaccine at this time, the CDC guidelines say they must remain masked and socially distanced.
Refreshments are not offered, and food/beverage are not permitted on-site, since consuming them requires the removal of masks. Water fountains are closed. Restrooms are available and sanitized before and after services, with doors propped open where privacy allows.
Greeters wave a warm welcome, but do not shake hands while serving. Doors are propped open. We do not distribute bulletins or handouts, and we do not offer a stand and greet time during worship.
The offering is taken online through Realm or may be dropped in mission offerings boxes near the exit as you leave. Items such as prayer cards and pens are removed from seats. Attendance is taken through healthcare forms.
Communion uses pre-packaged elements placed in individual bags and distributed in containers. Kneelers and other frequently touched worship fixtures have been removed from the worship space.
What We Are Asking You To Do
Here is what Pasadena Community Church is asking you to do.
If You Don’t Feel Well
or have been around someone who has been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19, please stay home and worship online.
- Please be mindful of personal space, as some may not be comfortable being within 6 ft.
- Continue with elbow bumps, air high fives, waving of hands to greet people.
- If you want to give someone a hug or handshake, ask first. Not everyone will be comfortable with hugs and handshakes.
No Judgement Zone
Remember not everyone is able to get a vaccine due to cancer treatments, or autoimmune disorders. Some individuals may not be comfortable getting vaccinated right now.
Pasadena Community Church commits to be a No Judgement Zone, and will not make comments to anyone who chooses to wear or not wear a mask.
Wash Hands Often
Please continue to practice hygiene and wash your hands often and for 20 seconds.
your nose, mouth, or eyes with unwashed hands.
Cover Coughs and Sneezes
with a tissue, and then please throw the tissue in the trash.
If you don’t have a tissue, cough, or sneeze in your upper sleeve, not in your hands.
